In December 2011 Bradford Central Library was closed for health and safety reasons. Since then many of its collections have been moved to other libraries. On 9 December 2013 a part of the ground floor was re-opened as a refurbished Local Studies and a WYAS Archives Bradford Branch.
The address is : Local Studies Library, Prince's Way, Bradford , West Yorkshire. BD1 1NN.
The entrance is now on the end of the building, away from the National Media Museum, and the old entrance to the former Central Library.
Access is wheelchair friendly and there is Blue Badge parking outside the entrance. William Street and Sharp Street lead to this, passing public parking areas. There is no direct vehicle access from Prince’s Way.
Furthe details can be seen on the West Yorkshire Archives website
Many of the catalogues are online and can be accessed through the West Yorkshire Archive Service Online Catalogue.
